FanDuel Fantasy Football Picks for Week Nine Thursday-Monday

This will be the 9th week this season where we have entered a Fantasy Football contest at FanDuel hoping to win the million. While we haven’t hit the million yet but we have had some success and some failures like the unmitigated disaster last week when our QB went down right off the bat and that pretty much sealed our fate. OK….enough of my jabber and let’s get after it.

Keep in mind these games begin on Thursday night so sign up early.

QB: I’m going with Tom Brady this weekend against the Redskins. The Redskins are limiting receivers to just 247 yards per game but this is Brady and he’s been darn good this season averaging 26 FanDuel points a game. He’s the most expensive at $9,500 but he’s worth the price of admission.

RB: Mark Ingram is priced at $7,700 but he has a nice matchup this weekend with a Tennessee Titans defense that allows 118 rushing yards per game. The great thing about Ingram this week is with the season ending injury to Khiry Robinson Ingram will now have more opportunities to score touchdowns as Robinson was that guy. Hopefully Ingram will be our guy this week.

RB: The Bengals Jeremy Hill ($6,800) has a great matchup this week against the Cleveland Browns that must be exploited. The Browns have the worst rushing defense in the NFL and over the last two games Hill is averaging 15 carries a game and 10 FanDuel Fantasy points. Let’s hope he’s able to hammer the helpless Browns on Thursday night.

WR: Julian Edelman ($8,000) is an obvious choice for me as I like to utilize tandems and the tandem of Brady to Edelman is one that I like very much. Edelman is coming off of a two touchdown game against the Dolphins and while the Redskin secondary is much better than the Dolphins Edelman should hit his FanDuel average of 17.5 points and hopefully more.

WR: Martavis Bryant ($6,900) has his QB back and has a great matchup with the second worst passing defense in the NFL Oakland Raiders. The Raiders defense allows receivers 318 passing yards a game and with Big Ben back this could be a big game for Bryant and one that should see him reach his FanDuel average of 16.6 points a game.

WR: Marvin Jones ($5,200) has a nice matchup Thursday night against a Browns pass defense allowing 268 yards per game and more importantly 9 plays of over 40 yards. As luck would have it Jones has three catches this season over 40 yards and if he and QB Andy Dalton can hook up on a bomb or two Thursday night Jones will be an awesome value this week.

TE: Antonio Gates ($6,000) has a great price and an interesting matchup with the Bears this weekend. The Bears passing defense allows a paltry 225 receiving yards and has so far this season limited opposing tight ends to just 8 FanDuel fantasy points a game. Gates is averaging 11 targets a game and this has the makings for some nice production this weekend.

K: Stephen Gostkowski ($5,200) has seen his price tag rise again this week but no matter as he is the best and most dependable kicker on this weekend’s slate. The over under of 52 points and the Patriots being 14 point favorites at home makes Gostkowski an easy choice for me to make.

D: The Buffalo Bills ($4,700) have an interesting game against the Dolphins and it almost begs the question; which Dolphin team will show up this week? Will it be the team that trounced Tennessee and Houston in consecutive weeks or will it be the team that was blown out last week by the Patriots? The Bills have 8 interceptions and 11 sacks on the season while Ryan Tannehill has thrown 9 interceptions and has been sacked 21 times. I hope I didn’t just punt the defense here but I have a feeling the Bills are going to lay the hammer on the Dolphins this weekend.

Good luck this week Fantasy Football owner!
