Week 11 is here and we are heading into the homestretch of the Fantasy Football season. If you haven’t made your move yet what the heck are you waiting for? If you have and you need some help to move up in your league standings I have some waiver wire options for you to consider this week.
Teams with a bye this week are the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Joe Flacco threw the ball 45 times last week for 316 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. That’s a nice thing to see as was his 1440 passing yards, 8 touchdowns and 5 interceptions over his last 5 games. He has a tough matchup this week against a Rams team allowing quarterbacks just 12 Fantasy points this season. Flacco is currently available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Ryan Fitzpatrick has really been up and down this season but he does have a nice matchup this weekend against a Houston Texans defense allowing quarterbacks 16.6 Fantasy points per game. Over his past 5 games Fitzpatrick has thrown for 1059 yards, 8 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions. Fitzpatrick is a bit dinged up but he is still available in just over 70 percent of Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Marcus Mariota has a nice matchup this weekend against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense allowing quarterbacks 18 Fantasy points per game. Over his past 5 games Mariota has thrown for 1329 yards, 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Mariota has been up and down like a roller coaster but he does have a good matchup and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
With all the injuries this season the waiver wire is awfully thin at the running back position but just for insurance reasons you might want to pick up Atlanta’s Tevin Coleman (70% available) in case anything happens to Devonta Freeman and you could also add the Jaguars Dennard Robinson (90% available) in case T.J. Yeldon continues to have foot problems.
Kamar Aiken was the recipient of 14 Flacco targets last week and it’s too darn bad he only caught 7 of them for 73 yards. The Rams have only allowed receivers 12 Fantasy points a game but with all these targets and being the Ravens #1 option Aiken might be worth a shot this weekend. Aiken is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Nate Washington has a terrific matchup this weekend with a Jets secondary allowing receivers 21.9 Fantasy points per game. The Texans quarterbacks throw the ball a TON and Washington has had some big games this season and some not so big games this season. If Brian Hoyer is cleared to play this week Washington would be a nice option and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Doug Baldwin has a very nice matchup with a 49er secondary allowing receivers 26 Fantasy points a contest. Baldwin is another one who has had an up and down season but he is capable of some big games like he did last Sunday with 7 catches for 134 yards and a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. He’s also very capable of laying a stinker but he is available in over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Eric Ebron has a terrific matchup this weekend against an Oakland Raiders defense allowing tight ends 12 Fantasy points a game. Ebron has had some decent games to go with plenty of stinkers but the matchup is fairly difficult to ignore. Ebron is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Crockett Gillmore has a good match-up this weekend against a Rams defense allowing tight ends 7.3 Fantasy points per game. Like most of our waiver wire options Gillmore has had some decent games and some stinkers but with Flacco throwing the ball as much as he is Gillmore is at least worthy of consideration. He is available in over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.
Good luck this week Fantasy Football owner!
