Fantasy Football: Win a Million at Draft Kings this Weekend!

Well here we are in week 12 of the Fantasy Football season. The DFS world has been turned on its head and even thought FanDuel won’t allow residents of New York to play at their site Draft Kings is still allowing us to play so let’s see if we can win a million this week.

Let’s keep in mind that the scoring is different at Draft Kings as is the salary cap. At Draft Kings we are allowed 50,000 dollars of salary to spend amongst 9 players. In lieu of a kicker Draft Kings has a “flex” player position.

At FanDuel we were looking for a minimum of 2 points per salary dollar spent; at Draft Kings we will need a minimum of 3 points for every dollar spent. I’ve never played DFS Fantasy Football at Draft Kings but what the heck let’s give it a go.

QB: Carson Palmer ($7,100) and the Arizona Cardinals have a very good matchup against a  San Francisco 49er defense allowing 277 passing yards a game including 10 plays of 40 yards or more. Over his past five starts Palmer has a Draft Kings floor of 19.2 Fantasy Points and a ceiling of 33.56 and this season has seven games with 300 plus yards passing.

RB: Adrian Peterson ($7,300) and the Minnesota Vikings has a tough matchup with a Vikings defense that allows a meager 87.4 rushing yards per game. Over his past 5 games Peterson has a floor of 6.7 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 32.6 and thus far this season Peterson has five games with 100 or more rushing yards.
RB: T.J. Yeldon ($4,800) and the Jacksonville Jaguars have an excellent matchup against a San Diego Chargers defense allowing 125.9 rushing yards per game. Over his past 5 games Yeldon has a floor of 11.2 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 22.4 and thus far this season Yeldon has 2 games with 100 plus yards rushing as well as being a valuable receiver out of the backfield.

WR: Larry Fitzgerald ($7,400) and the Cardinals has a great matchup with a 49er passing defense allowing 290.8 receiving yards per game. Over his past 5 games Fitzgerald has a floor of 6.9 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 26 and thus far this season Fitzgerald has 3 games with 100 yards plus receiving. If for some reason he doesn’t play on Sunday you can pivot to either John Brown ($5,000) or even Michael Floyd ($3,800). All three Cardinals receivers are listed as questionable so keep your eye on this and act accordingly.

WR: DeSean Jackson ($5,100) and the Washington Redskins have a terrific matchup with a New York Giants allowing 316.4 receiving yards per game. Jackson has been bothered by a hamstring the entire season but last week he scored 19.7 Fantasy points including a 56 yard TD reception. He is the Redskins big play guy and that bodes well as the Giants have given up 7 plays of 40 yards plus this season.

WR: Brandon LaFell ($4,300) and the New England Patriots have a tough matchup with a Denver Broncos secondary allowing just 211 receiving yards a game. With all the injuries to the Patriots receiving corps LaFell might be the only one healthy. LaFell has played only 5 games and has a floor of 4.5 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 18.2.

TE: Crocket Gillmore ($3,700) and the Baltimore Ravens have a nice matchup against a Cleveland Browns defense allowing 401 yards and 8 touchdowns to receivers this season. Over his past 5 games Gillmore has a floor of 6.0 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 18.1. With the season ending injury to QB Joe Flacco not to mention the numerous other injuries to key personnel Gillmore might be the only one left for starting QB Matt Schaub to throw to.

Flex: Todd Gurley ($7,500) and the St Louis Rams have an interesting matchup against a Cincinnati Bengals defense allowing just 100.4 rushing yards per game. Over his past 5 games Gurley has a floor of 11.6 Fantasy points and a 35.3 ceiling. For the season Gurley has 4 games of 100 yards plus rushing and is also a dependable receiver out of the Rams backfield.

Defense: The Baltimore Ravens ($2,800) may not be the sexy choice or even the bookies choice but the Cleveland Browns are an absolutely terrible offensive team. The Ravens might not be much better but over their last 5 games they have a floor of 3 Fantasy points and a ceiling of 15 so there is hope and hopefully the Ravens defense will rise up on Monday night!
