Fantasy Basketball: Week 10 Waiver Wire and Sleepers

Week ten of the Fantasy Basketball season starts in 2015 and ends in 2016…..crazy huh? Anyway, the season is flying by fast and its really time to trim the dead weight from our rosters and there’s no time like week ten to get this done! This is what I have this week.

The Phoenix Suns are the only NBA team with five games on the schedule this week.

Teams with four games this week are the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.

The Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies each have two games this week.

Week Ten Waiver Wire Options

Center: Bismack Biyombo has been a rebounding machine since Jonas Valanciunas went out with an injury. Over his past five games he’s averaging 15.8 rebounds a game to go along with 2.6 blocks and 6.6 points playing 33.8 minutes per night. Valanciunas is set to return and even though that will cut into Biyombo’s minutes if I needed rebounds I would strongly consider adding him to the roster in week ten. The Raptors have four games this week and Biyombo is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard/Shooting Guard: Jeremy Lin continues to get court time and over the past five games is averaging 16.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.2 triples while playing 33.2 minutes a night. He’s also shooting 47 percent from the field and 76 percent from the line during that five game stretch. The Hornets roster is starting to get healthier which would normally mean less minutes for Lin but with Jeremy Lamb struggling I would expect to see Lin getting 25 minutes a night. The Hornets have four games this week and Lin is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Over the past five games Jordan Hill has been putting up some solid numbers that includes two double doubles. During that five game stretch he’s averaging 11.8 points and 8.8 rebounds with one assist playing just 23 minutes a night. He’s also shooting 64 percent from the field and 83 percent from the line during that same five game stretch. At some point Hill should move into the starting lineup and if that happens his playing time should increase meaning more opportunities. The Pacers have four games this week and Hill is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Gerald Green is good for two things; scoring points and knocking down threes. Over the past five games he’s been knocking down nearly 3 triples per night and scoring 15.6 points per game. He’ll also get the occasional assist, rebound and steal but it’s the three point potential that makes him an appealing addition. He also shot over 50 percent from the floor but only 57 percent from the line during that five game stretch but those things don’t worry me so much. The Heat have four games this week and if he can knock down 8-10 triples in week ten he’ll be worth the lack of production in the other scoring categories. Green is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard/Shooting Guard: Over the past five games Darren Collison has been balling to the tune of 15.4 points, 3 rebounds and 5.8 assists. Over that same five game stretch he’s shooting 60 percent from the field and 72 percent from the line. He’s also knocking down 1.4 triples and played 32 minutes a night coming off of the Sacramento Kings bench. Collison has also played quite a bit alongside Rajon Rondo and the two seem to thrive together playing 338 minutes together already this season so at some point maybe George Karl will start both point guards together. In the meantime Collison is still a great add, the Kings have three games this week and Collison is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: I really like the Nuggets Nikola Jokic and with the Nuggets having four games this week what’s not to like about someone averaging 8 points and 5 boards this season? Okay not so much but over his past five games Jokic is averaging 10.8 points and 7 rebounds with a couple of assists playing 23.4 minutes a night. He also shot 64 percent from the floor and 81 percent from the line during that same five game stretch. He’s a great Daily Fantasy Sports value pick and a terrific deep league option especially with four games this week and us available in just over 85 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard: Jameer Nelson is the man running the point for the Nuggets and with Head Coach Mike Malone stating that Emanuel Mudiay won’t be returning “anytime soon” grabbing Nelson for this week might not be a bad idea. Over his past 4 starts Nelson is averaging 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6 assist playing 30 minutes a night including just under 2 triples a night. During that same stretch of games Nelson is shooting 47 percent from the floor and 83 percent from the line. Nelson might not be the best point guard out there but he’s far from the worst and with the Nuggets having four games this week the 75 percent available Nelson might be a good add this week.

Good luck this week Fantasy Basketball Owner!

Fantasy Hockey: Week 13 Waiver Wire and Streaming Options

Week 13 of the Fantasy Hockey season kicks off Monday December 28, 2015 and ends on January 3rd, 2016. I don't generally make New Years resolutions but one of the things I would like to improve upon is spending more time with my roster each day.......and that means more time on the waiver wire. Here's what I have for you this week.

Teams with four games this week are the Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, New York Islanders, Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets.

The Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks each have two games this week. Every other NHL team has three games on their schedule.

Back to Back Games for Week 13

Anaheim (Thur-Fri), Buffalo (Wed-Thur), Dallas (Sat-Sun), Detroit (Mon-Tue), Florida (Sat-Sun), Montreal (Mon-Tue), New Jersey (Tue-Wed), Nashville (Mon-Tue), New York Islanders (Sat-Sun), Ottawa (Tue-Wed), Pittsburgh (Wed-Thur), Toronto (Tue-Wed), Washington (Wed-Thur) and Winnipeg (Sat-Sun).

Week 13 Waiver Wire Options

Center/Left Wing/Right Wing: Brock Nelson and the Islanders have four games this week and over the past five games Nelson has been hot scoring 3 goals with an assist and 18 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 1. Nelson has been skating roughly 17 minutes a game on the Islanders top line as well as the majority of the time on the Islanders top power play unit. Nelson has 8 penalty minutes on the season and is available in just over 50 percent of all major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Center/Left Wing: Marcus Johansson and the Capitals have four games this week and during the past five games Johansson has potted 2 goals with 2 helpers and 9 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of zero. Johansson has been skating roughly 17 minutes a night on the Capitals second line as well as the top Capitals power play unit, has recorded just 2 penalty minutes and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Left Wing: Tanner Pearson and the Kings have four games this week and over his past five games Pearson has 3 assists and 7 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 2. Pearson has been averaging roughly 16 minutes a night on the Kings second line and also spends some time on the Kings power play. Pearson has just 6 penalty minutes this season and is available in just over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Ryan Ellis and the Predators have four games this week and during the past five games Ellis has scored a goal with 2 assists and 11 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 1. Ellis is skating roughly 20 minutes per night on the Preds second defensive pairing as well as spending time on the second power play unit. Ellis has 18 penalty minutes this season and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Johnny Oduya and the Stars have four games this week and over the past five games Oduya has 2 goals and 2 assists with 5 shots on goals for a plus minus rating of 6. Oduya is skating roughly 18 minutes a night on the Stars second line of defense, has 10 penalty minutes this season and is available in just over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Goaltender: Louis Dominigue and the Coyotes have three games this week and with Mike Smith on the shelf Dominigue is the man in the spotlight. Over his past three games Dominigue has allowed 4 goals and has racked up a 2-1 record with a save percentage of 94 percent. He also has a shutout over the Islanders to his credit. Arizona doesn't play any back to back games this week and it's conceivable that Dominique could be between the pipes all three games this week. Dominigue is available in just over 85 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Good luck this week Fantasy Hockey General Manager!

Fantasy Basketball: Week Nine Waiver Wire Options

Week nine of the Fantasy Basketball season begins Monday December 21, 2015 and even though there aren’t any games scheduled on the 24th there’s still a full slate of NBA games on the slate. Let’s see what is available on the waiver wire for week nine!

Teams with four games this week are the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs.

The Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors each have two games this week. Every other NBA team has three games on their schedule.

Week Nine Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Options

Shooting Guard/Small Forward: Evan Turner and the Celtics have four games this week and over his past five games Turner is averaging 10.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1 steal while playing almost 30 minutes a night. During that same stretch Turner is shooting 44 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Matt Barnes and the Grizzlies have four games this week and over his past five games Barnes is averaging 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal playing just under 30 minutes a night. He’s also knocking down 2 triples a night and shooting 45 percent from the floor and 83 percent from the line during that same five game stretch. For the time being Barnes is in the starting lineup and is available in just over 75 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Clint Capela and the Rockets have four games this week and over his past five games is averaging 8.8 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist with 1.5 steals and blocks in just under 22 minutes a night. Awesome 66 percent from the field and miserable 27 percent from the line so unless you’ve decided to scrap free throw percentages I wouldn’t add him in a roto league. Capela is currently available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward: Ersan Ilyasova and the Detroit Pistons have three games this week and over his last five games he’s averaging 11.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, less than 2 assists with nearly 2 blocks and just over 1 steal per game including 1.6 triples playing 28 minutes a night. Solid 45 percent from the floor and decent 71 percent from the line and Ilyasova is available in just over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward: Jon Leuer and the Phoenix Suns have three games this week and over the past five games Leuer is averaging 12.4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal including 1.2 triples in 26 minutes a night. He’s also an exceptional shooter averaging 57 percent from the floor and 87 percent from the line and is currently available in just over 55 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard/Shooting Guard: Jeremy Lin and the Charlotte Hornets have three games this week and over his last five games Lin is averaging 15.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists with 1.6 blocks per game on 31 minutes a night. During that same five game stretch Lin shot 48 percent from the field and 75 percent from the line. These numbers are a bit skewed as Lin received a start on Thursday and scored 35 points on 47 minutes but he’s still solid coming off of the bench and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Omri Casspi and the Sacramento Kings have three games this week and over the last five games has averaged 15 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3 assists and nearly 2 triples playing 36 minutes a night. Solid 48 percent from the floor and less than stellar 53 percent from the line and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Good luck this week Fantasy Basketball owner and as an added bonus have a listen to some great NBA talk including our all NBA “Back Alley” team from my show this past week!!

Fantasy Basketball: Week Waiver Wire Options

Week eight of the Fantasy Basketball season begins Monday December 14, 2015. There are plenty of interesting options to consider as well as some tremendous streaming options…..so let’s get started!

Teams with four games this week are the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnisota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers and the Toronto Raptors.

The Golden State Warriors have just two games this week and every other NBA team has three games on their schedules.

Week Eight Waiver Wire Options

Power Forward/Center: Ed Davis has been tearing it up this season and for the life of me I can’t believe he’s still available in over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues. Two double doubles and shooting 79 percent from the floor in his last five games on 26 minutes a night over those same five games is worthy of a roster spot in any format. Portland has four games this week and if Davis is on your waiver wire take him and thank me later.

Shooting Guard/Small Forward: Kent Bazemore is another player available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues that really should be owned in any format. Over his past 5 games he’s knocking down 2 triples a night with 13 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal per game. Solid shooting percentages straight across the board and with four games this week he’ll help you win your matchup.

Center: Joakim Noah is still available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues and when I think of Noah I think of rebounds, assists and blocks. Over his past 5 games he’s averaged 9.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.8 blocks in just under 23 minutes on the floor. Normally we look for players averaging at least 25 minutes but with the Bulls playing 4 games this week I would consider making an exception for Noah this week.

Shooting Guard: There was a time not too long ago when the only time Joe Johnson’s name would be mentioned in a waiver wire column was if he was injured. Nowadays he’s still available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues. Over his past 5 games he’s averaging 35 minutes a night, nocking down 1 triple a night with 11 points, 3.8 rebounds and assists and he’s been good for a steal or two a night as well. Brooklyn has four games this week and Johnson is worthy of consideration.

Power Forward: Jon Leuer is having a tremendous season and has flown completely under the radar this Fantasy season. Over his past five games he’s averaging 32 minutes a night scoring 14 points, 6.8 rebounds and just over 1 block per night. His shooting percentages are solid except for his 66 percent free throw percentage during that stretch but that wouldn’t deter me from adding him especially with the Suns having 4 games this week and the mystery illness that Markieff Morris is suffering from. Leuer is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Center: Bismack Biyombo is a rebounder and over his past five games he’s averaging 8 of them per game to go along with 7.6 points and 1 block while playing 24.2 minutes per night. His shooting percentage from the floor is very good and his 62 percent percenage from the line could be better. The Raptors have 4 games this week and he is available in just over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Shooting Guard: O.J. Mayo has been getting 33 minutes a night over the past 5 games and he is producing averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per night. He’s also shooting 44 percent from the field and has been perfect from the line during that same five game stretch. The Bucks have 4 games this week and Mayo is available in just over 80 percent of Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Good luck this week Fantasy Basketball owner!

Fantasy Football: week 14 Draft Kings Millionaire Maker Value Picks!

Week 14 of the Fantasy Football season begins this week and that means we only have a couple of more weeks to win a million bucks playing football at Draft Kings.

Last week our picks netted us 172.68 points that was good for nothing as the winner scored an amazing total of 273.6 Fantasy Points en route to winning a million bucks.

Damn that is a LOT of points…..and knowing this lets give it another shot this week!

Quarterback: Tyrod Taylor ($5,400) has a terrific matchup with an Eagles defense allowing QB’s 22.67 Fantasy points per game. For the season Taylor has a miserable floor of 9.42 and a ceiling of 29.94 that he reached last week against the Houston Texans. This game also has the third highest over under (47 points) and hopefully Taylor can keep his hot streak going against the Eagles on Sunday.

Running Back: Jonathan Stewart ($5,800) has a good matchup this Sunday against a Falcons team allowing running backs 29.94 Fantasy points a game. This season Stewart has a 5.0 floor and a ceiling of 21.6 against the Seahawks. We really want to see Stewart exceed his ceiling and it’s a good bet that he will against the putrid Falcons rushing defense.

Running Back: Duke Johnson ($3,800) has a nice matchup against a 49er rushing defense allowing running backs 29.52 Fantasy points per game. This season Johnson has a floor of 2.2 and a ceiling of 26.6 and with the Browns going with Johnny Manziel at QB it’s a safe bet Johnson will see plenty of targets sent his way on Sunday.

Wide Receiver: Sammy Watkins ($6,100) has a terrific matchup this Sunday with a Eagles defense allowing wide receivers 44.08 Fantasy points a game. Watkins this season has a floor of 4.4 and a ceiling of 36.8 and if the now fully healthy Watkins and Taylor can hook up for a couple of big plays this Sunday it won’t just be Bills fans who are smiling.

Wide Receiver: A.J. Green ($7,900) has a great matchup this Sunday against a Steeler defense allowing wide receivers 42.28 Fantasy points a game. This season Green has a floor of 7.6 points and a 47.7 ceiling. That’s a high ceiling and if he’s able to get anywhere near that on Sunday that will be a beautiful sight to behold.

Wide Receiver: Odell Beckham Jr. (($9,100) has a great matchup with a Dolphin pass defense allowing wide receivers 37.43 Fantasy points a game. For the season Beckham Jr. has a 7.5 floor and a 42 point ceiling. Wouldn’t it be nice to see him exceed that ceiling? I think he can in this one folks.

Tight End: Travis Kelce ($4,700) has a solid matchup this Sunday against a Chargers defense allowing tight ends 15.43 Fantasy points a game. This season Kelce has a 6..5 floor and a ceiling of 31.2. Kelce has been a big disappointment most weeks but this week I think he is going to make up for it in a big way!

Flex: Frank Gore ($4,300) has a good matchup against a Jacksonville rushing defense allowing running backs 21.80 Fantasy points per game. This season Gore has a 5.1 floor and a 22..4 ceiling. Gore has been steady all season long and let’s keep our fingers crossed he blasts the crap out of Jacksonville on Sunday.

Defense: The Buffalo Bills ($2,800) have been decent all season long with a -1 floor and a ceiling of 16.0 against a miserable Eagles offense allowing 30 sacks this season Eagles QB Sam Bradford has also thrown 10 interceptions and I see a couple of more this Sunday.

Good luck this weekend at Draft Kings!

Week 10 Waiver Wire Options

Left Wing: Jussi Jokinen and the Florida Panthers have three games this week and over his past 5 games Jokinen has racked up one goal and 2 assists with 9 shots on goal for a plus 2 skating roughly 16 minutes per night on Florida’s third line. For the season Jokinen has 18 blocks, 18 hits and just 6 minutes in penalties and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Michael Stone and the Arizona Coyotes have three games this week and over his last 5 games he’s potted 1 goal with 2 helpers on 6 shots on goal for a plus 1 rating skating roughly 23 minutes a night on the Coyotes top line of defense as well as the top power play unit. For the season Stone has 37 hits and 38 blocks with 18 penalty minutes and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Center: Victor Rask and the Carolina Hurricanes have three games this week and over his last five games Rask has 3 goals on 11 shots for a plus 3 rating skating roughly 18 minutes a night on the Hurricanes top line as well as spending time on the Hurricanes second power play unit. This season Rask has 8 hits and 11 blocks with 14 minutes in penalties and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Dan Boyle and the New York Rangers have three games this week and over the last five games Boyle has recorded an assist with 9 shots on goal for a plus 1 skating roughly 21 minutes a night on the Rangers third defensive line as well as spending some time on the Rangers second penalty killing unit. Over the season Boyle has 28 hits, 29 blocks with 14 penalty minutes and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Left Wing: Marcus Johansson and the Washington Capitals have three games this week and over his last five games Johansson has 2 goals and 2 helpers with 9 shots on goal for a plus 3 rating skating just over 17 minutes a night on the Capitals third line as well as their top power play unit. For the season Johansson has 14 hits, 6 blocks with 2 penalty minutes and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Right Wing: Craig Smith and the Nashville Predators have 4 games this week and over his last five games Smith has 1 goal and 2 assists with 14 shots on goal skating roughly 16 minutes a night on the Peds second line as well as on their top power play unit. For the season Smith has 23 hits, 4 blocks and 6 minutes in penalties and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Fantasy Basketball: Week Seven Waiver Wire Options

Week seven of the Fantasy Basketball season begins Monday December 7th, 2015. There is still plenty of time for owners to get their rosters in shape and of course for those of you who like to stream players or tinker with their roster there are still plenty of options available to you.

Teams with four games are the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.

Teams with two games are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets and the Sacramento Kings.

Week Seven Waiver Wire Options

Small Forward: T.J. Warren and the Suns have four games this week and over his past five games he’s averaging 15.8 points, 5 rebounds, 1.2 steals on 26.4 minutes per night coming off of the Suns bench. Exceptional shooting percentages of 61 percent from the floor, 40 percent from three and 81 percent from the line during that five game stretch. Warren is currently available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Meyers Leonard and the Trail Blazers have four games this week and Leonard is currently working his way back into the starting rotation after suffering an injury. Over his last 2 games he’s averaging 28 minutes and knocked down three triples a night to go along with 4.5 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal. Leonard should win back his starting job from the inefficient Noah Vonleh and when he does he won’t be available in over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues for very long.

Point Guard: Isaiah Canaan and the 76ers have four games this week and over the past five games Canaan is averaging 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal including three triples a night playing 31.8 minutes a game. During that same five game stretch he’s shooting 38 percent from the floor, 38 percent from three and 77 percent from the line. Canaan is available in just over 75 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Jae Crowder and the Celtics have four games this week and over his past five games Crowder is averaging 14 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.8 steals and is knocking down 2 triples a night playing 30 minutes a night. During that same five game stretch Crowder is shooting 42 percent from the floor including 38 percent from three and 85 percent from the line. Crowder is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard: Cory Joseph and the Raptors have four games this week and over his last five games Joseph is averaging 10 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.2 steals on 29.2 minutes per night off of the Raptors bench. Over this same five game stretch Joseph is shooting 50 percent from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc and a measly 33 percent from the line. Joseph is available in just over 85 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues and should only be an option in deeper leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Ed Davis and the Trail Blazers have four games this week and over his last five games Davis is averaging 9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals playing 27 minutes a night coming off the Trail Blazers bench. During that same five game stretch Davis is shooting 69 percent from the floor and a meager 56 percent from the line and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Shooting Guard: Jeremy Lamb and the Charlotte Hornets have four games this week and over the last five games lamb is averaging 13.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1 triple and just over 1 assist playing 26 minutes a night off of the Hornets bench. During that same five game stretch Lamb is shooting 46 percent from the floor, 35 percent from three and a meager 65 percent from the line. Lamb is available in just over 65 percent of all major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Fantasy Football: Draft Kings Football Picks for Week 13

Week 13 of the Fantasy Football season begins Thursday and if you want to win a million over at Draft Kings that begins on Sunday. I’m not all that sure I like Draft Kings but if you live in New York and you want to play Daily Fantasy Sports Draft Kings is probably your best bet.

If you want to win a GPP Football tournament at Draft Kings you will need at the bare minimum 3 Fantasy points for every dollar of salary. It’s week two for us at Draft Kings so let’s see if we can’t do a better job of finding value and hitting our 150 point mark.

Quarterback: Alex Smith ($5,100) comes at a good price this week against a Raiders defense  who over their last three games have allowed QB’s 18.90 Fantasy Points a game. Over his last three games Smith has a Fantasy point floor of 13.42 and a ceiling of 21.7. It’s a good matchup and a damn good price so I’m going to go for it.

Running Back: Jonathon Stewart ($5,300) has a great matchup against a Saints defense that has allowed 42.30 yards to running backs over their last two games. Over Stewarts last three games he has produced a floor of 10.7 and a ceiling of 21.4. It’s another good matchup and a great price so I would seriously consider Stewart this weekend.

Running Back: Doug Martin ($5,900) has a great matchup against a Falcons defense who over their last three games have allowed running backs 41 Fantasy points a game. Over the past three games Martin has a 10.8 floor and 26.5 ceiling and if he hits anywhere close to that ceiling on Sunday you and I will both be very happy campers.

Wide Receiver: A.J. Green ($7,600) has a tremendous matchup on Sunday with a Browns defense allowing WR’s 55.60 Fantasy points per game over their last 2 ballgames. Over his last three games Green has a 10.7 floor and a 24.1 ceiling and if he and Andy Dalton can hook up a couple of times this might be money in the bank on Sunday.

Wide Receiver: T.Y. Hilton ($5,700) has a terrific matchup on Sunday with a Steelers defense that has allowed WR’s 60.25 Fantasy points a game over their last two ballgames. Over the past three games Hilton has a floor of 4.1 and a 27.5 ceiling and if he can get close to that ceiling on Sunday it will be a beautiful sight to behold.

Wide Receiver: Danny Amendola ($4,700) has a great matchup with a Eagles team who over their past three games have allowed WR’s 47.47 Fantasy points a game. Over his past 3 games Amendola has a floor of 7.2 and a 23.7 ceiling. He’s listed as questionable but all indications are that he will play on Sunday and if he does this could be a good choice and a great value.

Tight End: Travis Kelce ($4,700) has a solid matchup with a Raiders defense who over their past three games have allowed TE’s 15.87 Fantasy points a game. Over his past 3 games Kelce has a 8.6 floor and 16.9 ceiling. If he and Smith can hook up for a couple of scores value will be met and a smile will come across your face!

Flex: Allen Robinson ($7,300) has a solid matchup against a Titans defense that over their past 3 games have allowed WR’s 36.77 Fantasy points per game. Over his past 3 games Robinson has a 16.1 floor and ceiling of 19.3. Hopefully he and QB Blake Bortles can shred the Titans defense and exceed that ceiling by about 4 points on Sunday.

Defense: I’m going with the Cincinnati Bengals ($ against the Browns on Sunday. Over their past 3 games the Bengals have a 5 point floor and 17 point ceiling and with the Browns starting a rookie and the dumpster fire the Browns are this should be money in the bank on Sunday.

Fantasy Football: Week 13 Waiver Wire and Streaming Options!

Week 13 of the Fantasy Football season begins December 3rd 2015. In most cases this is the final week of the regular season; for those of you on the playoff bubble it’s your last chance to qualify and for those of you who have reached the playoffs maybe you need to replace an injured player. I have some options for you to consider this week.
Quarterbacks

Brian Hoyer had a decent return this past weekend throwing for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns and one interception. This weekend he faces a Bills defense allowing QB’s 18.8 Fantasy points a game. Hoyer has had a couple of nice road starts this season and is available in just over 55 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Matt Hasselbeck has a nice matchup this weekend against a Steeler defense allowing QB’s 18.2 Fantasy points per game. Over his last 2 starts Hasselbeck is averaging 16 Fantasy points a game and if he can repeat last week’s 20 point performance he will have helped you this week. Hasselbeck is currently available in over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Running Backs

Theo Riddick has a good matchup Thursday against a Packer defense allowing running backs 14.6 Fantasy points a game. The Lions backfield is a bit crowded but Riddick is a valuable receiver averaging nearly 70 receiving yards a game over his last 2 contests. Riddick is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

David Johnson is going to start in the Arizona Cardinals backfield this weekend and against a Rams defense allowing running backs 16.5 Fantasy points a game this could be the waiver wire pickup of the week and is available in just over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Wide Receivers

Doug Baldwin has 4 touchdowns in his last three games and he has a great opportunity to add to that this weekend against a Vikings defense allowing wide receivers 19.3 Fantasy points a game. If you are in need of a solid receiver this weekend Baldwin is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Marvin Jones has a great matchup against a Browns defense allowing wide receivers 26.1 Fantasy points per game. Over his past 3 games Jones has seen 23 targets and if he can manage to catch of a few of these he could be a good addition to your roster. Jones is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Tight Ends

Crockett Gillmore is either a gold mine or a shaft and against a Dolphins defense allowing tight ends 6.8 Fantasy points a game we’re hoping for a gold mine this weekend. This season Gillmore has a floor of zero and a ceiling of 20……here’s hoping for 12-15! Gillmore is available in just over 75 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues.

Kyle Rudolph has a nice matchup this weekend against a Seahawks defense allowing tight ends 10.5 Fantasy points per game. Over his last 2 games Rudolph has seen 18 targets catching 13 of them for 159 yards and a touchdown. Rudolph is available in just over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Football leagues and might be a good addition to your roster this week.

Fantasy Basketball: Finding Value at Draft Kings for Wednesday December 2nd, 2015!

Every week I do my best to help DFS Fantasy Basketball players find value plays that they can use to win GPP tournaments. We aren’t aren’t the 50-50 cash game guys here. We want you to make a big hit when you play and I must say that tonight’s slate at Draft Kings has some very good opportunities for you to get great value.

Keep in mind we are looking for these value picks to hit 6 Fantasy points per $1000 dollars of salary spent. The following players should give you that opportunity as well as allow you to afford a Steph Curry, James Harden, Paul George or Anthony Davis…..and maybe two or three of them!

Point Guard: Isaiah Canaan at $5400 is a very good play tonight. Now that he’s back in a starting role for the 76ers he’s been hitting at 5 times value and against a Knicks team that is allowing point guards 41 Fantasy points per game Canaan might be able to hit 6 times his price on Wednesday.

Shooting Guard: The Clippers Chris Paul is banged up and is listed as questionable on Wednesday. If he can’t go you have a couple of options; you can roll with Austin Rivers at $4,000 or you can even spend up a bit at $4,400 with J.J. Reddick or even a little higher price of $5,000 and roster Jamaal Crawford. Over the last 5 games the Pacers have been allowing 41 opposing shooting guards 41 Fantasy points a night. Rivers might be your best option to hit six times value but only if Paul doesn’t play. Also keep in mind Indiana allows point guards 45 Fantasy points over their last 5 ballgames.

Small Forward: Jared Dudley is starting at the three and at $3300 bucks and on most nights the guy has been an excellent value play and this should be the case against a Lakers team who over their last five nights are allowing 42.8 Fantasy points per night to small forwards. Over his last 5 games Dudley has a 10.5 point floor and a 30.25 ceiling. This could be a good value play for you to consider.

Power Forward: LaMarcus Aldridge at $6,600 bucks is a steal tonight against a Bucks team who over their past 5 games are allowing power forwards 42.6 Fantasy points a night and 49 Fantasy points a game over their past 10 games. Over his last 10 games Aldridge has a floor of 16 points and a ceiling of 46.25. If he hits 40 you will have made 6 times the value tonight.

Center: Joakim Noah at $4,100 might be a good play against a Denver Nuggets team who over their past 5 games have allowed Centers a whopping 73 Fantasy points a night and 52.9 over the season. Over his past 10 games Noah has a floor of 7.25 and a 38.5  ceiling. If he gets 20 minutes tonight he’ll make value and there’s a good chance he’ll get you the 6 times value you need to win the big one.
